Medabolic Companion Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Medabolic Companion Research LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Medabolic Companion," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Medabolic Companion mobile application and related services (the "App").

Medabolic Companion Research LLC is the entity you are contracting with, and the entity responsible for your data, as user of this App. This policy does not describe or govern any other affiliated entity.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), date of birth
• Profile and assessment data: goals, activity level, experience level, dietary pattern, sleep and stress inputs used to assign your program and generate recommendations
• Health and wellness logs: food, activity, sleep, weight, and other metrics you choose to log
• Community content: posts, comments, and messages you choose to share within the App
• Payment-adjacent information: subscription tier and billing status (payment card details are collected and processed by the app store or our payment processor, not by us directly)
• Support communications: messages you send to our support team

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
• Usage data (features used, session length, in-app navigation)
• Approximate location derived from IP address, where applicable

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Subscription and billing status from Stripe, our payment processor
• Authentication data if you sign in via a third-party identity provider

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• create and maintain your account and membership
• generate your program assignment, daily recommendations, and Medabolic Score
• process subscription payments and manage entitlements
• operate community features you choose to participate in
• provide customer support
• improve and maintain the App, including analytics and debugging
• communicate with you about your account, updates, or (with your consent, where required) marketing
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your health and wellness data to make individualized medical decisions on your behalf, and the App does not transmit your logged health data to any healthcare provider unless you take an affirmative action to export or share it yourself.

4. Sensitive Health Information

Some information you provide — such as weight, activity, sleep, and dietary logs — may be considered sensitive health or wellness information under applicable state privacy laws (for example, laws addressing "consumer health data"). We treat this data with heightened care:

• We do not sell your health or wellness data.
• We do not share your health or wellness data with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

The App is a wellness product, not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA in the ordinary case.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only as described here:

• Service providers: Supabase (database/backend hosting and authentication), Stripe (payment processing and subscription billing), and other vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-processing obligations
• App stores and payment processors: for purchase and subscription processing
• Legal and safety: where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Medabolic Companion, our members, or the public
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information under a policy of at least equal protection

We do not sell your personal information, as "sale" is defined under applicable state privacy laws.

5A. Sharing with Your Coach

Medabolic+ members may be matched with a personal trainer or nutrition coach. Coach sharing is off by default and only begins after you turn it on for a specific coach.

• What your coach can see: your profile details, food, activity, sleep and other logs, and your weekly Medabolic Score.
• What your coach can do: comment on your logs or days and exchange messages with you inside the App.
• Your coach cannot see your community posts, reactions, payment details, or Meda chat history.
• You can stop sharing at any time from the Coach section of the App. Access ends immediately; your coach can no longer view your logs, comments, or messages.
• Access also ends if your Medabolic+ membership lapses or the coach is no longer assigned to you.
• Coaches provide general wellness guidance, not medical advice, and must keep your information confidential.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and log data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 8.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our backend database. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

You can also manage most of your data directly in the App under Profile/Settings, including editing your profile, exporting your logs, and deleting your account.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

10. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect.
